1,200 Guests, One Pulse – Ante Perry & Friends at Studio Freischütz
1,200 guests. Sold out. Electronic music on an international level — right in the heart of Germany’s Ruhr region.
As soon as the doors of Studio Freischütz in Schwerte opened, one thing became immediately clear: this night was going to hit hard.
At Ante Perry & Friends – Glitter & Groove, I once again had the opportunity to work as the official event photographer — already for the fourth time — in collaboration with Ante Perry and econvent GmbH around Bernd Hagen. A level of trust that means everything in the event industry.

Right in the Pulse of the Night
Club photography does not work from the sidelines. It lives through movement, timing, and the instinct for the next moment. As the dance floor filled and the energy inside the venue continued to rise, my goal was to capture exactly that dynamic — close to the DJs, close to the crowd, right in the middle of the action.
What may appear effortless from the outside is, photographically speaking, a constant process of reacting: changing light, dense crowds, fleeting moments. And that is exactly where the images are created that do not simply show atmosphere, but truly transport it.
The Shapeshifters – Simon Marlin Live
One of the international highlights of the evening was The Shapeshifters, represented live by Simon Marlin. House music with history, presence, and an exceptional sense for dramaturgy.
Simon Marlin reads a room with remarkable precision. Tension, timing, control — and then, at exactly the right moment, the energy on the dance floor explodes. For a photographer, these are the seconds you wait for.
Moments like these cannot be staged. You have to recognize them, anticipate them, and be ready the instant they happen.
Why Professional Event Photography Matters
Especially during sold-out club nights like this one, it becomes obvious how important professional visual storytelling really is. High-quality event photography has long become more than simple documentation — it is part of the public image of promoters, artists, and brands.
The continued collaboration with Ante Perry and econvent GmbH highlights both the continuity and professionalism behind these productions, while further expanding my portfolio in event and music photography throughout the Ruhr region and beyond.
Conclusion
Glitter & Groove was more than just another club night. It was a space filled with energy, carried by 1,200 people and a line-up that brought international club culture into the Ruhr region.
And those are exactly the moments where the images are created that truly last.
