Trust, Growth, and a Shared Visual Language
I met Kristina in 2016 during a test shoot. Even at that first meeting, it became clear that this could grow into more than a one-time collaboration.

From that starting point, a continuous collaboration quickly developed, extending throughout 2016 and 2017. During this time, we created multiple shoots in the studio as well as outdoor sessions in a variety of settings — sometimes calm and reduced, sometimes more experimental and open to new ideas.

Alongside the free work, further shoots and workshops followed, covering different photographic themes. These shared projects created space for development, for exploring new approaches, and for continuously refining our visual language.

Kristina brought a natural presence in front of the camera, combined with openness and trust. A way of working that allowed ideas to grow and images to emerge organically, rather than being fixed from the start.

The resulting photographs reflect exactly this phase: versatile, focused, and shaped by a collaboration built on trust and a shared understanding of image and atmosphere.

A single curve defines the entire moment. Her body forms a line that feels both tension and release, held in perfect balance between control and surrender. The simplicity of the setting sharpens the focus – no distraction, no excess. Just light, shadow, and the clarity of form. The chair becomes more than an object. It anchors the scene, grounding the movement while allowing the body to unfold freely above it. There’s a quiet strength in this pose. Not loud, not demanding – but precise, deliberate, and full of presence. A moment reduced to its essence, where everything unnecessary fades away. – Ein einziger Bogen bestimmt den Moment. Ihr Körper zeichnet eine Linie, die Spannung und Loslassen zugleich trägt – gehalten in einem feinen Gleichgewicht. Die Reduktion der Kulisse schärft den Blick. Keine Ablenkung, kein Überfluss – nur Licht, Schatten und die Klarheit der Form. Der Stuhl wird mehr als nur ein Objekt. Er erdet die Szene, gibt Halt und lässt gleichzeitig Raum für die Bewegung darüber. In dieser Haltung liegt eine stille Stärke. Nicht laut, nicht aufdringlich – sondern präzise, bewusst und voller Präsenz. Ein Moment auf das Wesentliche reduziert, in dem alles Überflüssige verschwindet.

Her closed eyes suggest a moment turned inward. A pause between thoughts, where everything becomes simpler, clearer, more present. Die raue Struktur des Felses steht im Kontrast zur Weichheit ihrer Präsenz – und doch wirkt beides wie selbstverständlich miteinander verbunden. Das Licht wandert sanft über ihren Körper, zeichnet Formen und lässt den Schatten Raum, ihre eigene Sprache zu finden. Keine Spannung, kein Drängen – nur eine ruhige, fast meditative Stille. A presence that doesn’t demand attention, yet holds it effortlessly. – Ein Körper trifft auf Stein – nicht im Kontrast, sondern in stiller Harmonie. Die raue Oberfläche unter ihr wird Teil der Szene und greift die Linien und Formen auf, die das Licht zeichnet. In diesem Bild liegt eine Ruhe, die fast archaisch wirkt. Keine Bewegung, keine Ablenkung – nur Form, Struktur und der leise Dialog zwischen Haut und Fels. Das Licht hebt hervor, was zählt, und lässt alles andere im Schatten verschwinden. Was bleibt, ist ein Moment in seiner reinsten Form – reduziert, ruhig und zeitlos. Eine Präsenz, die nichts fordert und dennoch alles hält.

Kristina stands within the raw structure of the cave, not overshadowed by it, but elevated by its scale and texture. Light carves its way through the scene, defining form and depth, turning the rugged surroundings into a stage. Every detail feels intentional, yet nothing appears forced. A moment that carries both intensity and stillness – grounded, expressive, and unmistakably alive. – Eine starke Präsenz erhebt sich aus Stein und Schatten. Der rote Stoff wirkt wie ein lebendiges Element, das den Blick nach oben führt – dorthin, wo Kraft und Eleganz aufeinandertreffen. Kristina steht inmitten der rohen Struktur der Höhle, nicht von ihr verschluckt, sondern von ihr getragen. Der Kontrast zwischen dem intensiven Rot und den erdigen Tönen erzeugt eine Spannung, die zugleich kraftvoll und stimmig wirkt. The fabric carries a quiet intensity, a contrast that feels both bold and natural at the same time. Light finds its way through leaves and rock, touching fragments, leaving others untouched. What remains is a scene full of depth – a balance between strength and softness, between earth and expression. A moment that feels almost surreal, yet grounded in something real and tangible. – Ein Strom aus Rot zieht sich über den Stein, weich und leuchtend im Kontrast zur rauen Struktur darunter. Er liegt nicht einfach dort – er bewegt sich, fließt, lenkt den Blick nach oben zu dem Punkt, an dem Präsenz und Stille aufeinandertreffen. Kristinas Körper wird Teil der Landschaft, nicht als Fremdkörper, sondern als Verbindung. Der Stoff trägt eine stille Intensität in sich – kraftvoll und zugleich selbstverständlich. Das Licht fällt durch Blätter und Felsen, berührt einzelne Stellen und lässt andere im Verborgenen. So entsteht eine Szene voller Tiefe – ein Gleichgewicht aus Stärke und Weichheit, aus Natur und Ausdruck. Ein Moment, der fast surreal wirkt und doch greifbar bleibt.

The last light lingers at the window, soft and fragile, barely touching the scene. Inside, shadows take over – shaping form, concealing detail, guiding the eye through what remains. Her presence is quiet, almost withdrawn. Arms close, posture reserved – not as a barrier, but as a moment turned inward. The contrast between the fading daylight and the depth of shadow creates a tension that feels intimate and calm at the same time. Nothing is fully revealed, nothing completely hidden. A scene suspended between outside and inside, between light and retreat. – Das letzte Licht hält sich am Fenster, weich und flüchtig, berührt die Szene nur noch ganz leicht. Im Inneren übernehmen die Schatten – sie formen, verbergen und lenken den Blick auf das Wesentliche. Ihre Präsenz wirkt ruhig, fast zurückgezogen. Die Arme nah am Körper, die Haltung geschlossen – nicht als Abwehr, sondern als Moment nach innen. Der Kontrast zwischen dem schwindenden Tageslicht und der Tiefe der Schatten erzeugt eine Spannung, die zugleich nah und ruhig wirkt. Nichts wird vollständig gezeigt, nichts bleibt ganz verborgen. Eine Szene zwischen Außen und Innen, zwischen Licht und Rückzug.

A view from the outside into the Feldhof cave – straight onto the set we built for this shoot. The sheer scale of this location is striking, and that’s exactly what this moment captures. Lighting here wasn’t a choice, it was a necessity. Inside the cave, available light simply didn’t exist in a usable way. Every scene, every idea relied on artificial light – shaped, directed, controlled. The same applied to parts of the exterior, where natural light couldn’t deliver what the image needed. What you see here is more than just a location. It’s the quiet challenge of creating something where light is missing – and turning that absence into atmosphere. A typical moment from what “Behind the Scenes” is all about. – Ein Blick von außen in die Feldhofhöhle – direkt auf das Set, das wir dort für dieses Shooting aufgebaut hatten. Die Dimensionen dieser Location sind beeindruckend, und genau das macht dieses Bild so greifbar. Licht war hier keine Option, sondern Voraussetzung. In der Höhle selbst war an Available Light nicht zu denken – es fehlte schlicht die Grundlage für eine natürliche Lichtführung. Also entstand jede Aufnahme mit gezielt eingesetztem Blitzlicht, geformt und kontrolliert. Auch im Außenbereich war das Licht nicht immer zuverlässig genug, um die gewünschte Wirkung zu erzielen. Dieses Bild zeigt mehr als nur einen besonderen Ort. Es zeigt die Herausforderung, dort kreativ zu arbeiten, wo eigentlich kein Licht vorhanden ist – und genau daraus eine eigene Atmosphäre entstehen zu lassen. A subtle glow rises from the window, barely enough to reveal, yet strong enough to define. It touches her form with restraint, shaping contours while allowing the rest to remain in shadow. Her posture opens upward, almost reaching into the fading light. There is a sense of release in this movement – a quiet surrender to the moment. The darkness does not conceal, it frames. It holds the scene together, giving weight to every highlight and every line. Between light and shadow, something unfolds that doesn’t need words. Just presence, breath, and the stillness in between. – Ein zarter Lichtschein steigt vom Fenster auf, kaum stark genug, um zu zeigen – und doch genau richtig, um zu formen. Er berührt ihre Konturen zurückhaltend und lässt vieles bewusst im Schatten. Ihre Haltung öffnet sich nach oben, fast als würde sie dem letzten Licht entgegengehen. Darin liegt ein Moment des Loslassens – ruhig, ohne Drängen. Das Dunkel verbirgt nicht, es rahmt. Es gibt dem Bild Halt und lässt jedes Licht, jede Linie stärker wirken. Zwischen Licht und Schatten entsteht etwas, das keine Worte braucht. Nur Präsenz, Atem und die Stille dazwischen.

A quiet moment from the summer of 2016, created during a studio session with Kristina. The setting is intentionally minimal, reduced to what truly matters – light, form, and presence. The light traces her silhouette with precision, shaping shadows that feel almost tangible. In her hand, the high heels – a subtle contrast between movement and stillness, between what was and what might follow. There’s a calm tension in this scene. A balance between elegance and introspection, where nothing needs to be added and nothing distracts. Just a fleeting moment, held in silence – yet full of depth and intensity. – Im Sommer 2016 entstand dieses Bild mit Kristina während eines Studio-Shootings. Die Kulisse ist bewusst schlicht gehalten, reduziert auf das Wesentliche – Licht, Form und Präsenz. Das Licht modelliert ihre Silhouette mit präzisen Schatten, die fast greifbar wirken. In ihrer Hand die High Heels – ein leiser Kontrast zwischen Bewegung und Innehalten, zwischen dem, was war, und dem, was folgt. In dieser Szene liegt eine ruhige Spannung. Ein Gleichgewicht aus Eleganz und Nachdenklichkeit, in dem nichts hinzugefügt werden muss und nichts ablenkt. Nur ein flüchtiger Moment, getragen von Stille – und doch voller Tiefe und Intensität.

What often looks like a perfectly staged production from the outside follows its own rhythm behind the scenes. No glamorous setups, no artificial luxury – just a quiet break on a simple bench, surrounded by nature. Inside the Feldhof cave, “catering” was improvised, shared between camera gear and backpacks. A moment to breathe, to laugh, to reset. This is where something invisible is created – yet present in every final image: honest work, real connection, and that subtle atmosphere between the frames. Welcome behind the scenes. Welcome to “Behind the Scenes”. – Was nach außen oft wie eine perfekte Inszenierung wirkt, hat hinter den Kulissen seinen ganz eigenen Rhythmus. Keine glänzenden Sets, kein inszenierter Luxus – sondern Pausen auf einer schlichten Bank, mitten im Grünen. In der Feldhofhöhle wurde das „Catering“ kurzerhand selbst organisiert, zwischen Kameraequipment und Rucksack verteilt. Ein Moment zum Durchatmen, zum Lachen, zum Sammeln. Genau hier entsteht das, was man später nicht sieht – und doch in jedem Bild spürt: Ehrliche Arbeit, echte Begegnungen und diese leise, unaufgeregte Atmosphäre zwischen den Aufnahmen.
